My journey in the culinary world began over a decade ago in Florence, Alabama, where I discovered my passion for food while pursuing a degree in Music Education at the University of North Alabama. During that time, I worked at Legends Steakhouse, starting as a food runner and advancing to General Manager over the course of four years. It was there that I learned the fundamentals of cooking and developed a deep appreciation for the art of hospitality.
After Legends, I gained additional experience waiting tables at Cracker Barrel, which further fueled my desire to create memorable dining experiences. Recognizing my passion for both serving people and crafting exceptional meals, I stepped into a leadership role as Kitchen Manager at QRC Applebee's in Florence.
After some time, I decided to take a break from the restaurant industry to explore other interests, including truck driving. However, my love for cooking was reignited when my wife and I moved to Opelika to care for family. Cooking dinner every night for loved ones reminded me of my true calling.
I joined Chef Scott Simpson’s team at The Depot as a Lead Grill Cook, later transitioning to Lead Sauté Cook. After six months as Demi Chef de Partie, I was honored to be promoted to my current role as Chef de Partie. I am proud to bring my passion, creativity, and dedication to every dish I prepare.
